Conservation Technologies Empowering Innovation for a Sustainable Future

Conservation Technologies are shaping the ease with which conservation is practiced. Cutting-edge tools are an innovative way to tackle the pressing environmental challenges of our time. Our approach focuses on integrating technology into conservation practices to monitor wildlife populations, track habitat changes, building capacities of early career professionals to stay up to speed with and develop solutions for sustainable resource management. Through collaboration with tech developers, researchers, and conservationists, we aim to ensure that conservation technologies and these innovations are practical and applicable in relevant conservation contexts and landscapes.Â

We also aim to establishConservation Data Lab, a long-term vision for a hub for training and equipping early-career conservation professionals with the skills to effectively use data and mapping tools for conservation work. By combining traditional ecological knowledge with modern technology, our Conservation Technologies track bridges the gap between innovation and nature, providing scalable, efficient, and data-driven solutions to address the biodiversity crisis.Â

Current strategy Areas:Â

  • Conservation Data Lab: A hub for training and equipping early-career conservation professionals with the skills to effectively use data and mapping tools for conservation work.
  • Policy advocacy on equitable and ethical  access and use of data for ConservationÂ
