Beyond 30 for Nature and People
Beyond 30 is a program focused on the mission to advance Area-based Conservation beyond the widely adopted "30 by 30" target, which aims to protect 30% of land and seas by 2030. Recognizing that achieving and maintaining this target is essential but not sufficient to reverse biodiversity loss and mitigate climate impacts, the coalition supports governments, Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in their collective effort to exceed this goal taking into account rights-based approaches while promoting equitable sharing of benefits.Â
